This honestly made my eyes hurt. It doesn't look like a maze in a way, but rather that there is no real beginning or end, in a non-maze'y way.  That...probably makes no sense.  DX!  A few pieces are out of place without being connected to a maze really, which is why it makes me head tilt and go "maybe I missed the part where it connects", but something looks a tad off.  <w<; S-sorry.... ;~;

well, you know just like there are hidden rooms in dungeons, walls that move, pathways close off and new dead ends appear.
The difference here is that there are no walls and everything is open, so you think you can get to a certain platform even when it's far away and you aren't sure which line connects to it. If you think of some levels in a game, there is often stuff in the background where you can't go, it's something like that, basically it doesn't mean that everything shown has to be connected.

I imagine this mase to sorta work like the painting Stairs, by M.C. Escher. The man can walk up the walls and such.

Haha, yeah MC Escher crossed my mind somewhere during the process

Your idea about maze is really cool - adding third dimension to a maze, will make it really hardcore-bad-ass maze (if you don't mind I may try to develop something out of it in future).
Actually I'm quite happy that you have time to make new artworks - i have like zero time and I have so much to do.

Well, sure.

I'm on an indefinite vacation while working on my book, which is going slow as shit :P, so I do occasional stuff whenever I'm stuck with writing or something

Lucky man you are - much better than making pointless illustrations
for people who don't know shit about them.
I'm like miracle worker here - doing work which don't satisfy me anymore.

yes, that's work.
I, too, once thought that becoming an artist will mean creative freedom and all that stuff, but it's not the case. Now, even when I look at artbooks from some major games, all the concept art looks the same to me, even though it's well done it's just meh.
It's why I'm trying to do something on my own, see how that goes.

Indeed and well said. I earn some money with my own projects too
(I do mostly book covers but now i have managed to get myself a label company - which is really cool cause i like designing vinyls and stuff),
I even have my personal graphic design company "Eledone" lol, but it's
mostly for legal purposes to get paid for stuff i do personally and when silent needs it.
But most stuff still comes from my employer - helps me pay my rent and stuff you need to live on this godforsaken land.
Even tough i have freedom to choose any company in my country I won't run to change my job
cause there can be worse places to end up.

I haven't done any work for games or movies (cause they are really close minded how their stuff should look like).
Nowadays everything seems to be copy of copy - even designs and illustrations.

But anyway - you can later hide this topic (not really related with your great work).
