Let me first off by saying that this is a great piece of art, it gives me the illusion of being behind him as he walks through this terrain, and the darkness gives me a sense that he is going to struggle. I love the blue mist coming from the deaths of the cave bellow, it gives the guy the feeling of actually being alone when he embarks on this journey through the cave. So overall I rate have to rate vision a five ( it looks spectacular). I seen a few pieces of art relating to this type of subject, but this is great I rate Originality a 4.5. I can't find really anything wrong with the technique, I rate a 5. For Impact I would have to rate this a five, even with out the guy this piece of art would be outstanding.
Wonderful stuff, reminds us that sometimes less is more. I started thinking about Beksinsky while looking at your images. These are very odd places you make.
Love the mood in this, the cold, icy and mysterious atmosphere really comes across. This is really a prime example for achieving maximum effect with rather few strokes... (although I'd be curious if you knew right from the start where you'd take this or if this painting is rather the end of a journey, so to speak, and only looks as if it was done fairly quickly) In any case, I like it! It immediately grabbed my attention =]
